Like most municipal police departments, our overall goal at the Germantown Police Department is to make Germantown a safe community and a great place to live, work and visit for our citizens, businesses and guests. The mission of the Germantown Police Department is to maintain a peaceful and orderly environment that ensures the protection of life and property through equitable enforcement of laws, rapid response and community education.

In addition to serving our community and ensuring Germantown remains one of the safest cities in the Mid-South region, we also strive to provide a quality workforce, establish a high-performance team police department, continue our commitment to community policing and deliver the highest in customer satisfaction.

We also work every day to make our city and our department a friendly, welcoming and supportive workplace for our officers and administrative staff.

Our Leadership and Organization

The administration of the police department rests with Police Chief Mike Fisher and the appointed Command Staff which sets department strategy, prepares and manages the budget, manages staffing, measures performance and prepares statistical reports.

The police department is organized into four divisions: Police Services, Uniform Patrol, Investigations and Communications. We currently number more than 100 officers and approximately 25 public safety dispatchers.

The Germantown Police Department has earned accreditation through the Tennessee Law Enforcement Accreditation Program, a program created and managed by the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police.

OUR Location

The Germantown Police Department is located inside the Germantown City Hall at 1930 South Germantown Road.
