Hiring, Benefits & Salary
Pay Scale
Police Recruit: $60,000.00
Police Officer I: $62,940.00
Police Officer II: $66,024.06
Police Officer III: $69,259.23
Police Officer IV: $72,666.44
Police Officer V: $76,299.75
As of July 1, 2024
Lateral Officer pay based on years of service. A lateral officer with 5+ years of experience starts at level IV.
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be a citizen of the United States.
Must have a good driving record.
Must possess a valid Driver License.
Must never have been discharged from any branch of the Armed Forces under other than honorable conditions.
Must not have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state law or city ordinances relating to force violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substance.
Must be a high school graduate or an acceptable equivalent.
